What this is

A writing program centered on your walk with Jesus.

Every person has a story, and every story holds moments that have shaped their faith. Some are moments of profound change. Others are quiet reminders of God’s presence, unexpected answers to prayer, seasons of waiting, or times when Jesus carried us through what we couldn’t navigate on our own.

Journey to Jesus Volume 2 invites you to reflect on your walk with Christ and put that story into words.

Over six months, you’ll be guided by a Lead Author and supported by a community of fellow writers as you develop your own 2,500-word chapter. You’ll revisit the moments that shaped your faith, consider what you hope readers will take away, and learn how to share your testimony with honesty, clarity and purpose.

This is a writing program first. The work is understanding what Jesus has done in your life and learning to tell it well. Publication is how it reaches the people who need it. Your story may be exactly what someone else needs to hear: a reminder that they aren’t alone, that hope is possible, and that God is still at work.

Some of us feel a pull to tell what Jesus has done. This program is for that pull.

Why share your story

Your story has a purpose.

Every testimony is different. Every story has the potential to point someone toward Jesus.

Find your voice

Learn to put your experiences into words and tell your story in a way that feels true to you.

Recognize His hand

A clearer view of how Jesus has been with you through every season.

A story that serves

Consider what someone else might need to hear and how your experience could encourage them in their own walk with Jesus.

Honour who carried you

Name the people who prayed for you, waited with you, a showed you Jesus. Your chapter becomes a thank-you.

A shared journey

Connect with people whose stories may be different from yours, but whose desire to put their faith into words brings you together.

Break the silence

Give words to the things you've carried quietly and discover the freedom of sharing them.

Celebrate transformation

Acknowledge how your faith has shaped you and the person you're becoming.

Give God the glory

Share the ways His faithfulness has shaped your life and brought you where you are today.

Leave a legacy

Put your story into words so your family and future generations can know what God has done.

You arrive as you are. He meets you there.

The co-author experience of contributing to this book has been the most significant growth leap in both my personal and spiritual life since finding Jesus 3 years ago! Under the insightful leadership of Nicole and in the support network of the other authors I found a safe place to express thoughts and feelings suppressed for decades. The excellent program created by Sovereign Acres Publishing guided me one step at a time through the process of writing to produce a publication worthy story describing the transformation I have experienced since embracing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I don’t want anyone to miss out on the co-authorship experience under Nicole’s expert and caring guidance. I have been so blessed participating in this project.

The six months

Four phases from first memory to finished chapter.

Writing is how the story gets told. Each phase asks you to go a little deeper, and your lead author and fellow authors walk beside you.

Phase 1

Remember and honour

List the pivotal moments of your life in any order, and ask where you saw Him at work in each. Sit with joy, grief, fear, forgiveness and everything in between, and let those emotions bring back the details. Nothing has to make sense yet. This is where you begin to see your path with fresh eyes.

Phase 2

Find your meaning

Decide who you are writing for and what you want them to know about Him when they close the book. Choose the moments that carry that message and arrange them in whatever order feels true. Along the way you discover what your testimony is really about.

Phase 3

Write and see it fresh

Write a rough first draft, with full permission for it to be messy. Then step back and read it as an observer, the way a stranger would. Seeing your own story from the outside often changes how you feel about it. Read it aloud, share it, and revise with your lead author beside you.

Phase 4

Share it

Write your bio and acknowledgments, thank the people who carried you, and prepare to put your chapter in readers’ hands. Then celebrate your launch with your fellow authors.

The story so far

Volume 1 is out in the world. Volume 2 is yours.

Journey to Jesus Volume 1 gathered a group of authors to tell what it meant to stop holding it all together and be held. Their chapters are now in the hands of readers.

Sovereign Acres has guided more than 200 authors through their anthologies. Every author is mentored through the same six-month program, so no one writes alone.

If you feel called to tell it, we would love to walk beside you.

Questions

Things people often wonder.

Is this a writing course or a faith journey?

It is a writing program. The writing is how you understand your testimony and learn to share it.

Do I need writing experience?

No. You are welcome to join at any level. Your lead author, writing resources and monthly group calls support you through brainstorming, a first draft and your final draft.

Do I have to share everything about my life?

No. You choose which moments to share and how much to share. You decide what your story is about and who you are writing it for.

My faith journey has been messy or full of questions. Is there a place for me?

Yes. This is a book about real journeys to Jesus, including the winding ones. Honest stories help readers more than polished ones.

What does the lead author do?

Nicole guides you through each stage with personal coaching and feedback, reviews your chapters, and compiles the final manuscript for the publishing house.

What if my story runs longer or shorter than 2,500 words?

The chapter target is 2,500 words. Your lead author helps you shape what you have, so you are not left guessing as you draft and revise.

Can I sell my own copies, and do I earn royalties?

Yes. You keep 100% of the profits from your private book sales, and royalties from Amazon sales are shared among the authors.

How and when do I pay?

First you apply. Successful applicants are invited to enrol and choose how to pay: $2,000 CAD in full, or two payments of $1,100 CAD ($2,200 total, which includes a $200 payment plan fee).
