The Sovereign Series Co-Authorship Writing Program
The Sovereign Dad
The Sovereign Series is a literary movement.
Â
It is a reclamation of voice within the landscape of fatherhood. A gathering of fathers who have lived through loss, change, rupture, rebuilding, and renewal.
The Sovereign Dad is the next evolution of the Sovereign Series—an anthology that centres the lived experiences of fathers in their most honest and unembellished form. This volume invites narratives that expand, challenge, and deepen cultural understandings of fatherhood, including presence, responsibility, vulnerability, repair, and strength.
We are seeking contributors who have walked their own path through fatherhood—whether marked by transformation, struggle, awakening, or intentional redefinition. If your story reflects a departure from inherited patterns, a season of rebuilding, a commitment to showing up differently, or a hard-earned clarity about what it means to lead and love as a father, we welcome your voice.
Your Lead Author: Mike Prince
Mike Prince is the founder of The Conscious Man Project, a movement dedicated to helping high-achieving men reconnect with presence, purpose, and the people who matters most in their lives.
After years of living at full speed—chasing success, adventure, and external validation—Mike found himself confronting a deeper question many men quietly carry: “Is this really the life I want?” That moment sparked a journey that would fundamentally reshape how he viewed leadership, health, and masculinity.
Following a severe battle with Lyme disease that left him physically depleted and questioning everything he thought he knew about strength, Mike began exploring practices that helped him rebuild from the inside out—breathwork, meditation, nervous system regulation, and conscious lifestyle design.
Today, he combines those experiences with his background in business leadership to guide men toward a more grounded way of living and leading. Through retreats, coaching, and speaking engagements, Mike challenges men to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and lead their families, businesses, and communities with deeper clarity and intention.
He lives in Canada with his wife and three sons, where the daily practice of presence continues to shape the man he is becoming.
Mike is the author of the chapter “Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast” in The Sovereign Man.

Â
We know what it’s like to carry a story that wants to be told, and to wrestle with all the reasons not to.
Â
The fear of being too much. Or not enough. The worry of being judged, misunderstood, or exposed. The pressure to get it perfect, or the question of whether it’s even worth sharing at all. At Sovereign Acres Publishing, we don’t just publish stories, we create a deeply supportive space for storytellers. If you’re feeling the pull to finally say it out loud, and the flutter of nerves that come with that… you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Â
We’ll walk with you the whole way.
