Meet our Founder, Sarah Swain

Sovereign Acres was founded by Sarah Swain, a Canadian entrepreneur, strategist, and storyteller who deeply values freedom, truth, and integrity. She created this publishing house to offer a home to authors who feel stifled by mainstream narratives and want to share stories that actually mean something. Sarah believes in personal responsibility, creative courage, and building new systems that honour the human spirit, especially in times of censorship, fear, and division. She's not interested in labels or echo chambers. She's interested in truth, nuance, and the kind of storytelling that wakes people up with uncomfortable truths. Her belief is simple: we need more brave voices, not polished ones. And Sovereign Acres exists to help bring those voices to the page.
She's fun. She serious about the work she does. She has a great sense of humour. She leads with heart, humility, and no-nonsense attitude. She adores writing, and has so many books in her house that new bookshelves are always in demand. She believes deeply in personal freedom, and back-to-roots living. So it's no wonder Sovereign Acres Publishing House was formed. Sarah has combined her love for tranquil living, her passion for writing, and her high-impact entrepreneurial skills to create this space.
Sarah is also the Founder of Monetize Your Mind, a holistic business platform to support entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners in creating new streams of income with alignment, ease and genuine connection.

We believe your stories are not only important today, but that they will outlive us all to leave a lasting impact for generations to come. And we believe in giving you an opportunity to reclaim your voice, and your power, which in turn gives our readers permission to do the same.

In other words, we're not here to publish what’s trendy or commonly accepted, we’re here to publish what’s true. Even if it’s uncomfortable. We align with freedom in the fullest sense of the word. We support authors who want to write honestly, think critically, and explore ideas without being boxed in by the current societal rulebook. It's with great hope that the stories shared, help humanize our authors in a world committed to misunderstanding who they are, what they value, and what they stand for. We’re not here to follow any one political path. We’re here to protect the creativity, expression and personal sovereignty of the people brave enough to write what others are afraid to say.
