The Sovereign Book Series

A literary movement

These projects  aren’t your average collab books. These are soul-led, community writing experiences designed to elevate writing skills, expand hearts, build courage and give power to voices that spark movements, and remind the world what personal freedom looks like.

This series began in 2022, when our Founder, Sarah Swain decided to write just one more book in her former publishing house, The Great Canadian Woman. This book was called The Sovereign. During an era where censorship was high, and people were being discarded by society in the name of public health. These experiences fortified the importance of personal sovereignty for millions around the world. How one arrives in their sovereignty differs from one soul to the next, but it is in their journeys we find pieces of ourselves, that help us strengthen and heal a little more, with every word. The Sovereign has since become a series, with 60 authors across 4 books, with another 6 currently in production.

Each volume of The Sovereign Book Series holds a common theme of personal freedom, and the paths people travelled to get there. Each title in the Sovereign Book Sub-Series holds a unique theme, but they all books across this series share one thing in common:  They’re written by real people, with real stories, about what personal sovereignty means to them.

If you’re ready to step forward, engage in a robust writing experience, and become a published author through a guided, empowering process, choose the project that calls to you and apply to join us.

6-Month Project Timeline

Curious about how it all works? See below!

Project Preparation - This includes establishing the project concept, selecting a lead author, preparing all launch materials, establishing production timelines, application & onboarding.

Writing Phase  - This includes a brainstorming, first-draft and final-draft phase. Within this period is where our co-authors will also receive support from the lead author, leverage our writing resources & tools, and join our monthly group support calls.

Design - Our design phase is where the cover and interior design concepts are established.

Manuscript - Once the writing process has been completed, the lead author compiles the manuscript to submit to the publishing house.

Production Cycle - During this period, the editing process is completed, followed by the implementation of design, proofreading & total review.

Final Approvals - Co-authors have a chance to sign off on their chapters, and address any minor changes that may need to be made. Followed by the formal publishing house sign off process.

Amazon Upload - The book is then uploaded to Amazon, set with the official live date as per the book's scheduled launch date.

Launch - The book is formally launched on Amazon, with a celebratory kick-off call for authors to invite their friends and family to. There is a strong focus on the launch for a period of 72 hours to climb the charts on Amazon across relative categories.

Post-Launch Debrief - The publishing house tea, production team and lead author meet to discuss the project, identifying both successes to celebrate, and opportunities to continue to refine the process for future projects.

All authors have full visibility of the approved timeline for each stage.

This is about so much more than becoming a published author.

Future employment opportunities

Authors who successfully complete our co-authorship program and become published authors, are eligible for future employment opportunities with Sovereign Acres Publishing.

All of our lead authors, were once co-authors, and we even have members of our team who have co-written with us, too. We believe that all people providing services on behalf of Sovereign Acres Publishing should have experience in authorship, so the service provided to the co-authors is as compassionate, considerate and relatable as possible.
