Audio Recording Tips & Best Practices
Your recording doesn’t need to be perfect — we just want to hear your authentic voice, clearly.
-
Quiet Space: Choose a room with minimal background noise (carpet/curtains help reduce echo).
-
Simple Tools: Your phone’s voice memo app works perfectly. (iPhone: Voice Memos, Android: Recorder). You can also use free programs like Audacity or GarageBand on a computer.
-
Distance: Hold the phone or mic 6–12 inches from your mouth.
-
Pacing: Speak clearly and at a steady rhythm — imagine reading to a friend.
-
File Format: Save as MP3 or M4A for easiest upload (smaller file sizes).
