Our Co-authorship Program

Writing Support

Through our writing program, you will receive support from your lead author throughout our 4-week writing cycle. As well, our robust author resources kit provides you with in depth support when it comes to defining your writing style, establishing your story, what to include, what not to include, writing timelines, depth & more.

Community

Most of our authors come into these projects expecting to simply write their story and become a published author. Yet most leave this process with unexpected new friends, and connections. Writing is an intimate experience, and you're in good company with other women. Connect in our group channel, and online during our monthly group support calls.

Full Production

We take care of absolutely everything. Manuscript development. Editing. Proofreading. Interior design. Typesetting. Cover design. Marketing graphics. Marketing, branding & PR training, and launch support. We provide self-publishing services, with traditional publishing value.

Project Timeline (3-4 months)

Project Preparation - This includes establishing the project concept, opening applications, onboarding contributors, and providing all writing guidelines. Authors will receive word count requirements and clear submission deadlines.

Writing & Submission Phase  - Contributors draft their 500–1500 word entries. Each chapter focuses on why a chosen skill matters, how it has impacted the contributor’s life, and includes a practical share, recipe, or instruction for readers. During this phase, contributors have access to our writing support if needed.

Manuscript Compilation - Once submissions are received, the publishing team compiles all entries into one cohesive manuscript. Contributions are standardized for flow and readability, while keeping each author’s authentic voice intact.

Design & Production - This phase includes cover design, interior layout, editing, and proofreading, followed by final formatting for print and publication.

Final Approvals - Contributors have the opportunity to review their entries as they appear in the compiled manuscript, approve, and submit any minor corrections before publishing house sign-off.

Amazon Upload & Launch - The finished book is uploaded to Amazon and set with an official live date. Authors are invited to participate in the launch campaign by sharing the release with their networks to help the book climb Amazon’s charts.

Post-Launch Debrief - The publishing house team meets to review the project, celebrate collective success, and identify opportunities for refining future volumes in the Homestead Series.

All authors have full visibility of the approved timeline for each stage.

This book will share the voices of:

📖 Homesteaders who discovered resilience and resourcefulness through simple, time-honored practices—and want to pass that wisdom on.

đź“– Community members who preserve and share traditions of food, craft, and sustainable living.

📖 Urban dwellers who’ve carved out ways to live more self-sufficiently in unexpected places.

đź“– Everyday people who picked up new skills to live closer to the land and their values.

đź“– Families who chose a more self-sufficient path to reduce reliance on outside systems.

📖 And anyone who’s been called to reimagine independence and sovereignty—and has a tip, recipe, or skill worth sharing.

Every movement starts with ordinary people who decide to live differently.

Homesteading isn’t just about skills. It’s about a mindset, a declaration of independence, and a willingness to chart your own course. By becoming an author in The Homestead Series, you’re adding your voice to a growing movement of self-sufficient, freedom-driven people who are showing the world what’s possible. You’ll share not only the “why” behind your choice to live this way, but also a practical tool: your recipe, tip, or how-to that others can put into practice immediately.

This isn’t just a book. It’s a collective record of people daring to reclaim their food, their time, their skills, and their sovereignty. Your story and your wisdom could be the spark that helps someone else begin their own journey.

If you’ve ever wanted to leave your mark, to contribute to something that will outlast you, and give future generations the wisdom of our past, The Homestead Series is your chance.
